Implants

If you are missing one or more permanent teeth, you may wish to consider dental implants as a way to restore your smile and your bite.
The implant is placed in the jawbone and is allowed to undergo a process called osteointegration in which the bone grows into and around the titanium root resulting in a permanent replacement.

Dr. Kesthely must first assess whether you are a suitable candidate for implants by taking x-rays and impressions of your teeth and jaws. If you are a suitable candidate, Dr. Kesthely will surgically place the implant into the jaw. A 3-6 month healing time is required to allow osteointegration following the surgery. After this time, a crown, bridge, or denture anchor can be secured to the implant (shown below).
