Teeth Whitening
Our teeth darken with age, smoking, and our consumption of coffee, tea, red wine, blueberries and multiple other foods we have on a daily basis. If you are unhappy with the colour of your teeth, and you simply want a whiter, brighter smile or you want to increase your confidence level, there are a number of tooth whitening procedures available.
Dr. Kesthely will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the different whitening systems available so that you can make an informed decision. Whitening procedures do not affect the integrity of the dental enamel. To maintain the whitening results, our dental office stresses the need for good oral hygiene and regular visits for check-ups and cleanings.
Opalescence, a professional teeth whitener, and Opalescence Go, a professional alternative to over-the-counter whitening options are both available at our office. We know your health and we can help you understand how the take home whitening process works, and help you decide which form of whiteing will be best for you to produce the white smile you are dreaming of.
Zoom is our most requested form of whitening. It is an in-office procedure in which a gel is applied to the teeth and this is light-activated in three 15 minute sessions. Zoom has been shown to whiten teeth up to 8 shades in just 45 minutes.
